You probably have heard that HDTV, the most advanced television
technology, is the TV now, but maybe you haven't got yourself one yet.
The question is, why aren't you getting one yet?
If you think you are satisfied what your regular TV set, aka, SDTV, you will definitely change your mind after you read this.

HDTV gives you 1080 lines of resolution. Okay, so why should you care?
Well, if you think that your SDTV is clear and sharp enough, I have
newsflash for you: Your SDTV only gives you 480 lines of resolution! So,
1080? By the way, HDTV is available in 2 resolutions: 720p and 1080i.
So, which is one is better? You would think that the latter would be,
but not necessarily. 1080i gives the screen more lines and pixels which
does give a fuller clearer than a regular television, but 720p offers a
progressive-scan format. This system gives a clearer and smoother image
during motion, such as a person running or a car driving by.
HDTV
comes in the following types: LCD, DLP, and plasma displays. LCD HDTV
TVs use flat panel technology, giving you the ability to hand your TV on
your wall! Plasma flat TV screens can also hang on your wall if you
desire. With a width of only 3 inches they are perfect for this
situation. Plasma TVs are great for the full home theater experience.
Prices are higher than LCD however prices continue to drop. DLP (Digital
Light Processing) DLP TVs are available in large screen sizes-larger
than 50 inches--but are still rather slim. Since the light source is
replaceable, these TVs last longer than LCD and plasma TVs.
It's
really difficult to choose what is the best plasma HDTV or LCD
television set. When in doubt, though, read online reviews and ratings
such as pricing, requirements, and specifications.
Some of the
brands that offer the finest in HDTV include, Sharp, Samsung, RCA,
Panasonic, Philips, Sony, LG, NEC, Pioneer, Viewsonic, Toshiba, JVC,
Hitachi, Hannspree, Fujitsu, Zenith and Akai.
In the case of
Sony, it has been very busy at this years CES (Consumer Electronics
Show) and have announced a total of 17 brand new Sony Bravia LCD HDTVs
to the market.

feature several models with slim bezels and depth, and also feature a
new 3D graphics interface, along with the ability to play back video and
music from a portable media device such as an iPod or similar via the
