32" LCD HDTV Review

The Good
Excellent picture quality; most past weaknesses have been corrected; able to be hung on the wall or ceiling
The Bad
Screen size may be too small for some rooms
The Bottom Line
A 32" LCD HDTV model is a good choice for rooms with limited space. The picture quality is amazing and the technology just keeps improving. You do want to measure the viewing space in your room to make sure you don't end up with a screen that is too small for your needs.
Review
If you're thinking about buying a 32" LCD HDTV model, you might be making a good choice for several reasons. Obviously, switching to an HDTV set is going to be a good idea given that the United States will soon be broadcasting all of its television channels in this format.
In other parts of the world, these changes have already been done. However, the need to upgrade your technology is only one good reason for making the purchase.
Another is the high quality of 32" LCD HDTV images and technology. For one, the televisions require a lot less power to run than do their counterparts, such as plasma screens. That means you'll be saving on your electric bill.
Plus, they produce less heat so you won't have to be concerned about ventilation issues as much. When you have a 32" LCD HDTV set, you can hang it on the wall just as you could a plasma set. The difference is that LCD screens weight a lot less and are not as fragile so you can be more confident about hanging them yourself.
Other good reasons to choose a 32" LCD HDTV model are that most of the weaknesses found in the earlier models have been corrected or improved in newer models. For example, one of the drawbacks used to be the lack of depth in the black color on the screens.
As a result, glare could be a problem and some of the color contrast was lost. Newer models of the 32" LCD HDTV have adjusted the depth of the black so this is no longer a problem.
Another common complaint of the original LCD technology was limited viewing angles. If you stood beside the television, you might not be able to see the picture. Again, this has been largely corrected in the newer models and today most of the models on the market allow for a larger viewing range.
One limitation in choosing a 32" LCD HDTV might be the size of the screen. Before choosing this size, you need to make sure it will work well for your room. To know, you have to measure the distance between your seating and your television.
If the distance is between four and eight feet, you should be able to enjoy a 32" LCD HDTV with no problem. If the distance is above eight feet, you'll want to choose a larger screen size.
